Filtering and Search

Rikol provides comprehensive filtering and search capabilities to help you quickly locate specific recalls and vehicles. By default, the system shows recalls that "Need Attention" to focus on items requiring immediate action.

Recall Status Filtering

Filter recalls by their current status:

  • Needs Attention - Recalls requiring immediate action (default view)
  • Getting Repaired - Recalls currently being addressed
  • Repaired - Completed and resolved recalls
  • Archived - Recalls no longer relevant

To filter by status:

  1. Click "Filter by Status" in the recalls interface
  2. Select single or multiple statuses from the dropdown
  3. Choose "All Statuses" to see all recalls regardless of status
  4. Use "Clear filters" to reset to default view

Department Filtering

Focus on specific departments within your organization. The filter shows only departments that currently have recalls.

Access controls:

  • Admin users can see all departments with recalls
  • Non-admin users see only their assigned departments

To filter by department:

  1. Click "Filter by Department" to open the selection dialog
  2. Use the search box to find departments by name
  3. Select one or multiple departments
  4. Close the dialog to apply the filter

Time-Based Filtering

Filter recalls based on when they were added to the system:

  • Last 24 Hours - Daily review of recent additions
  • Last 30 Days - Monthly management reviews
  • Last 60 Days - Quarterly analysis timeframe
  • Last 90 Days - Extended quarterly view
  • All Time - Complete historical view (default)

AI-Powered Sorting (Premium)

AI sorting analyzes recalls to provide intelligent prioritization based on safety risk, vehicle usage, and departmental importance.

Ranking criteria:

  • Safety Risk: Critical safety issues receive highest priority
  • Vehicle Usage: Emergency and high-traffic vehicles prioritized
  • Department Priority: Emergency services ranked above administrative
  • Recall Complexity: Balances repair complexity with urgency

To use AI sorting:

  1. Ensure premium features are enabled on your account
  2. Click "Sort by AI" in the recalls interface
  3. Wait for the system to analyze active recalls
  4. Review the prioritized list
  5. Use "Reset" to return to chronological sorting

Search across multiple data fields simultaneously:

Searchable fields:

  • VIN numbers (complete or partial)
  • Vehicle information (make, model, year)
  • Tag numbers and license plates
  • Recall descriptions and problem details
  • Repair procedures and remedies
  • Safety risk information

Search tips:

  • Use partial VINs for broader results
  • Search by vehicle make/model for fleet-wide issues
  • Include relevant keywords from recall descriptions
  • Combine search with filters for precise results

Column Management

Customize your view by showing or hiding specific data columns:

  1. Click the "View" button in the recalls interface
  2. Select which columns to display or hide
  3. Columns automatically save your preferences

Additional Tools

Manual Sorting: Click any column header to sort by that field (VIN, tag number, issue date, etc.)

Reset All Filters: Use the "Reset" button to clear all active filters and return to the default view

Combining Filters: Use multiple filters simultaneously for precise recall identification
